Nintendo E3 2016 Reveals: 3 New Pokemon And Battle Royal Mode For Pokemon Sun And Moon!

Nintendo E3 2016 Reveals: 3 New Pokemon And Battle Royal Mode For Pokemon Sun And Moon!

The E3 2016 kicked off yesterday with a live gameplay demo of Pokemon Sun and Moon via Nintendo Treehouse. Nintendo’s presentation for the upcoming Pokemon game revealed three new Pokemon:  Yungoos, Pikipek, and Grubbin as well as a new Multiplayer mode called “Battle Royal.”

Gematsu wrote that Yungoos, the Loitering Pokemon, has a Stakeout Ability that double the normal damage dealt to any Pokemon that the player switched in the field in the middle of the battle. This Pokemon is usually seen in the Alola Region, making it easy to capture. But, Yungoos has a horrible temper when hungry thus, it needs to be feed often with a massive amount of food.

Woodpecker Pokemon Pikipek has the Keen Eye and Skill Link Ability and Normal/Flying Type. Its beak is so powerful that it can drill holes into hard wood and shatter stones with its blows. Pikipek zip seeds to its distant opponents with a force strong enough to push the seeds inside the tree trunks.

Bug Type Grubbin on the other hand possesses the Swarm Ability and usually inhabits power plants and substations because it loves electricity. This Larva Pokemon depends on its sturdy jaw during battles and uses it to burrow through the earth.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Trailer Revealed, Link Now Cooks To Live!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Trailer Revealed, Link Now Cooks To Live!

Finally, The Legend of Zelda for Wii U and NX has a title, and it’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo showed the first gameplay details of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild today as part of the company’s E3 2016 presentations. And like what the title connotes, Link is growing wild!

According to Venture Beat, the game’s new features include Link cooking food for sustenance and maneuvering the environment. The new Link has a stamina gauge, can jump as well as climb walls. In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link will not rely on hearts to live because he can’t find them anywhere. He needs to catch food, cook and eat it to regain his energy.

Unlike the previous Zelda games, weapons in the new game work differently. Link can use enemy weapons like he did in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Link can now burn bushes using a torch from a tree branch and chop down trees with a Woodcutter axe to create firewood. However, the weapons can also be destroyed.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the focus is more on technology instead of magic, wrote BBC. Nintendo only showed the online clips of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in the Nintendo Treehouse livestream and the playable demos of the Wii U version at E3 2016, no NX at all. Below is the trailer of the upcoming Zelda game.

If you noticed in the trailer, Link is right-handed. GameSpot reported that game producer Eiji Aonuma explained why Link switched from being a lefty into right-handed.

"In terms of right-handedness of things, when we think about which hand Link is going to use, we think about the control scheme. With the gamepad, the buttons you'll be using to swing the sword are on the right side, and thus he's right-handed."

On why there is no female Link as fans speculated in the past, Aunoma told Kotaku that Link “was always planned to be a guy” since its 2014 trailer reveal.

“You know there’s the idea of the Triforce in the Zelda games we make,” Aunoma said.

“The Triforce is made up of Princess Zelda, Ganon and Link. Princess Zelda is obviously female. If we made Link a female we thought that would mess with the balance of the Triforce. That’s why we decided not to do it.”

When asked by a GameSpot reporter on the topic, Aunoma admitted that Nintendo had thought of satisfying fans’ desire for a female lead character by making Princess Zelda take a lead role in the Zelda game.  But it did not push through because according to Aunoma, “if we have princess Zelda as the main character who fights, then what is Link going to do? Taking into account that, and also the idea of the balance of the Triforce, we thought it best to come back to this [original] makeup.”

So there you have it folks, no female Link in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Wii U and NX versions!

Watch The Trailer Showing Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon Starters, Release Date Confirmed

They’re here!

As promised, the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon starters are out May 10th, and they’re fast gaining popularity with Pokemon fans.

The Pokemon Company announced that the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will launch November 18th and as earlier teased by series producer Junichi Masuda, you can now watch the new trailer showing the starters and gameplay below.

The three Pokemon starters are a grass/flying-type owl Rowlet, Litten, a fiery kitten and a water-type seal Popplio. The trailer also reveals the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon’s legendaries whose names are not revealed yet: a lion-like Pokemon and one that resembles a bat.

To help trainers choose which starter to use, The Pokemon Company also released the detailed descriptions with the official artwork of the Alola region’s Pokemon starters, Comicbook wrote.

Two-type "Grass Quill" Pokemon Rowlett is a Grass/Flying type that can attack soundlessly using both its razor sharp leaf feathers and claws in battle. It can see in the dark and twist its neck 180 degrees to receive instructions from its trainer. Rowlet has a new attack, Leafage, which is a leafy ranged attack thought to be similar in power to Ember and Bubble.

Litten, the "Fire Cat" Pokemon is the fire type starter of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Passionate but cool-headed, Litten has oily fur that is highly flammable and can attack by shooting out flaming furballs. It has the ability to combust spontaneously into a glorious blaze and starts the game with Ember.

The third and final Pokemon Popplio, is a "Sea Lion" Water type Pokemon starter that can make water balloons to do acrobatics on dry land. Described as the most mischievous among the new Pokemon starters, Popplio is hardworking but usually gets carried away with its playful antics in battle. It uses Water Gun attack to start the game.

According to Polygon, the Japanese trailer of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon is longer and better than the English version. It contains more gameplay and includes the comeback of character customization originally seen from Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. Here’s the said trailer.
