Pokemon fans in North America will get not just one, but 3 new Pokemon games this week!
Nintendo announced today that 3 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon titles are coming for their Wii U Virtual Console service: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team; Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team; and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.
According to Siliconera, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team are “sister games” but the former was originally released for Game Boy Advance and the latter for Nintendo DS. The first installments for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon follow the story of a human who was transformed into a Pokemon. The human befriended a Pokemon and established a rescue team that searches and saves lost or trapped Pokemon in a disaster-ravaged world.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky on the other hand, is connected to Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, which were all featured on Nintendo DS. Like the first set of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, a person became a Pokemon and teams up with a partner Pokemon to explore and save the world. The two join a group of explorers called Wigglytuff’s Guild.
The 3 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games will arrive on June 23. Nintendo also promised that more Pokemon Virtual Console titles are coming later this summer.
