Pokemon Sun and Moon release date is on November 18th and both games are playable on 2DS and 3DS.
In other Pokemon-related news, Pokemon Gold and Silver will make a return. Not as video games but as a board game.
Cinemablend reported that the classic Nintendo portable titles of 1999 will hit the market in the 3rd quarter of 2016. The right to create the board game was acquired by board game maker USAopoly and the Pokemon game will be called, Monopoly: Pokemon Johto Edition and will cost $44.99.
“Just like the standard version of Monopoly, anywhere between two and six players can hop into the action, assuming the roles of up to six different Pokemon that includes Pikachu, Totodile, Togepi, Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Pichu. Now instead of fighting over who gets to play as the top hat, everyone will be fighting over who gets to play as Pichu.”
The game board was customized to look-like the region of Johto, and the houses were renamed to Hotels, poke Marts and Pokemon Centers. The Community Chest and the Chance Cards on the other hand were revamped into Professor Elm cards and Trainer Battle cards.
According to Comicbook, players will go around the board and buy Pokemon instead of real estate like in the classic Monopoly game, and try to drive their rivals into bankruptcy. It is rumored that the reason why Johto region was chosen for the board game is that, it might be used in the Pokemon Sun and Moon games.
