Days after the release of the new Pokemon Sun and Moon trailers introducing the three new Pokemon starters, a footage showing the supposedly final evolution types of Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio emerged online. The owl-like Rowlet is a Grass/Flying type, Litten looks like a kitten Fire Pokemon , and the not so popular Popplio is a water type with the appearance of a seal.
Gearnuke reported that a slip-up on the official Japanese Pokemon website resulted to the leak of the new Pokemon starters’ final evolution.
YouTube blogger "Pdwinnall" from United Kingdom said that he found the final evolutions of Litten and Popplio. According to Comicbook, the video describes that a different icon represents each Pokemon, Icon 1 to Icon 5. Pdwinnall said that the icon “between Rowlet's Flying type icon and Litten's Fire icon, is missing,” which is Icon 3. The YouTuber tried to search for Icon 3 using Google Chrome on the Japanese Pokemon website, and found an icon for Ground type “Icon 6” which is also a Fighting type icon.
Pdwinnall's believed that Litten will evolve into a Fire/Ground type similar to volcanic camel Pokemon, Camerupt introduced in Hoenn. Popplio on the other hand, will finally evolve to Water/Fighting type – joining two existing Pokemon with the same type, Poliwrath and Keldeo. Watch the footage below to check for yourself.
Meanwhile, Japanese television show Pokenchi showed a new image from Pokemon Sun and Moon that revealed some slight changes to the upcoming games’ battle systems. The players will be able to see competing trainers instructing their Pokemon during battle and bystanders can be seen watching on the side. Comicbook wrote that the subtle touch adds more realism to the Pokemon battles in Pokemon Sun and Moon.
Do you think this shows that Pokemon Sun and Moon will not be using the generic backgrounds seen in Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire? Hopefully we can found out more details in the June CoroCoro issue!
Pokemon Sun and Moon will release November 18, 2016.
