Leaks on the Pokemon GO field testing continue to emerge online via social media giant Reddit, specifically /r/TheSilphRoad. They contain gameplay details and screenshots of Niantic’s augmented reality game. It only shows that banning Pokemon GO accounts will not stop field testers from sharing information to the public.
The latest gameplay leaks according to Moviepilot include the following:
- The gyms are scattered in different location and being defended by at least one Pokemon that you have to face in a battle.
- Defeating gym leaders and their Pokemon in battle will earn your character XP as it is your player character that levels up, not your Pokemon.
- Every gym has corresponding “Prestige Points” which translates to its difficulty level. The higher the difficulty level, the more difficult it is to defeat the gym leader.
- Gym battles happen at the top of the arena, with the gym leader’s Pokemon at the center. Your Pokemon can move around the defending Pokemon and you can dodge attacks with the player-determined dodge ability in the Pokemon GO.

Meanwhile, trademarks on Pokemon Sun and Moon legendaries has also leaked this week. Reports said that Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures filed the trademarks for the names Solgaleo and Lunaala. This led to speculations that the names might be the names of the new legendaries for Pokemon Sun and Moon because the Spanish terms “sol” means sun and “luna” means moon in English.
However, Design & Trend’s source, Serebii webmaster Joe Merrick said that the documents may not be noteworthy at all. First, Game Freak made a separate filing for the name Galileo on a separate page. Second. The concerned documents were filed by a Japanese IP lawyer named Yusuke Inui, not the Pokemon makers themselves. Third, the trademarks are not new as they were filed formally back in February.
Whether the rumors are true or not, we can only find out with CoroCoro magazine’s May issue. The Japanese magazine promised to give more details on the Pokemon that will be featured in Pokemon Sun and Moon next month on their April issue.
As of this moment, we can only be certain that Pokemon Sun and Moon will still be released this holiday season on 3DS.
